Spicy New Branding for Cajun Caregivers
Terrebonne General Health System Website Design
Terrebonne General Health System (TGHS) provides the best care with the newest technology to Louisiana, but struggled for many years with an image that communicated the exact opposite. Dated branding applied to an antiquated website made it difficult to inspire hope from their community. My team worked in tandem with the branding team and executed the new concept on pace for the website to be the first reveal in the brand’s resurgence.
The surrounding health systems had already created new digital brands and were stealing additional market share with every passing day. We needed a whole new approach to create a powerful enough product for TGHS to surmount this disconnect between their care and their brand. The writing team developed the headline “Modern Technology. Timeless Caring.” to lead the efforts and we rallied behind those words. Every part of the new site needed to speak to modern patient expectations while being familiar enough to be considered timeless. We used a modular approach filled with uniquely branded touches to paint a full picture that has captured new patients every day since launch.
Under the hood, we imbued the site with stellar UX to streamline the process of finding information on the website. A brand new sitemap paved the path for easy wayfinding, navigational elements are placed in helpful places, and relevant data pulls automatically into many flexible zones ensuring that a patient never meets a dead-end.
This project was a massive success for my department. We collaborated at every step of the way with the development team and produced over 40 mock ups to cover every template and panel combination needed across the site. During the design reveal the client was audibly blown away and approved the full design on their first review. This helped the client greatly by cutting a month out of the project’s timeline and helped our teams profitability by a huge margin.
TGHS is now the digital standard when it comes to health systems in Louisiana.
